Sundowner's Ski Club

The Sundowners Ski Club was organized in 1971. This is our 31^th year. Membership is made up of singles, attached, and married skiers. Ages range from 25 to 65 years old. (We do allow children on certain ski trips.)

The Sundowners Ski Club meets twice a month (except June, July, and Aug), on the first and third Wednesdays at Prairie Rock Brewery , 1385 N. Meacham Rd., Schaumburg, Illinois. The Prairie Rock Brewery is one mile North of Woodfield Mall ( MAP ).  Meetings are at 7:30 PM. Some members get there a little early for dinner.

We pride ourselves in offering some of the finest ski trips at great prices. Group ski trips save a lot of money; sometimes over 50% of the retail market. We have been running ski trips for 30 years and we are good! We attempt to maximize the number of skiing days so that you do not waste your vacation days. When possible, our trips depart O'Hare at approximately 6PM, so you can have a full day at work. On the return, we try to ski much of the last day, choosing a late departure.

The membership's skiing ability ranges from "newbies" to experts. We welcome "neverevers". If you have always wanted to learn to ski, or have a friend you want to get started, let us help. We can advise you on every, and we mean EVERY aspect of the sport, from clothing and equipment, to lessons and ski trips. Our membership includes PSIA ski instructors, ski shop employees, ski racers, and a lot of people whom are willing to help.

In the off season, we get together socially, and organize picnics, cycling, nights at Ravinia, etc.
